3KR Class Assembly
Congratulations 3KR for your wonderful Ancient Egyptian assembly this morning! You are a very tallented class and we were all so impressed with your acting skills, singing and dancing. I know that you all worked very hard for this morning’s performance, and it showed. You were all superstars! Thank you 3KR and, of course, a big thank you to Mr. Kirk and Mrs. Reisman for their work helping you all with the preparations.

Nut-Free Zone
Please be reminded that we are a strictly NUT-FREE ZONE. Please ensure that you or your child never bring nuts or nut products to school. We have a number of children with severe nut allergies and by adhering strictly this policy, we can all help to ensure their health and well-being. Please also be reminded that, to ensure the safety and welfare of all our nut-allergy children, the only birthday treats we can accept in school are Cadbury’s Chocolate Buttons. Thank you for your assistance with this.

Thursday 31st May
A council by-election in the Brunswick Park Ward has been called for this day and Barnet have directed us, along with a few other local schools, to be a polling station. Because of the short notice, the local authority has agreed to provide us with additional support and resources so we can keep the school and nursery open. Breakfast Club and After School Club will be closed on this day and all children will be required to bring in a packed lunch, as the dining hall will be closed. If your child receives a free school meal, their packed lunch will be provided by the school. I will write with further details next week.

Eco Day
Next Thursday we are holding an Eco Day when all the children are invited to come to school dressed in an item of green clothing. The Eco-Committee have arranged several activities such as a fashion show of recycled clothing, the planting of a mulberry tree and the Osidge Restaurant will be serving specialist green foods. We look forward to everyone joining in, having fun and at the same time learning about environmental issues.

Year 4 Football Finals
On Wednesday 16th May the Year 4 boys took part in the Barnet football finals. There were 15 teams taking part, all of whom had qualified for this event from a tournament that took place earlier in the year. Our team made it through the group stages into the quarter-finals, where they beat St Johns in a penalty shoot out. Unfortunately the penalties didn’t go our way in the next two games and we finished fourth overall. The team played some fantastic football and the boys were fabulous sportsmen. Well done and congratulations to Matthew, Jake, Harry, Luciano, Anthony G, George and Finlay.
